Well, it’s not even Christmas yet, and I am already thinking about next season! It is going to be a long winter. I miss coming home after work and going out to the flower field and being surrounded by beauty. I miss seeing all the activity, the bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and ladybugs. I miss picking fresh flowers. Heck, I even miss pulling weeds (remind me of that statement in July)!
That being said, we are planning a few changes for next season, so that is exciting! We are going to plan out the flower field for better access to all the flowers for our u-pick events. That will also include adding additional spaces for the amazing photographers that brought clients out to the farm. The grassy area will be extended out more as we hope to host a couple vendor events during the lavender harvest. We are also going to add more varieties of plants to create essential oils and hydrosols.
Just when I think that the lavender is my favorite part, I think about the flowers and that becomes my favorite. Then I think about creating the oils and hydrosols, and that is my favorite. Hmmmm….I guess it is good to have lots of favorites.
